Rockwell Collins book due out this month

Off the bike…

Updated 8/9/2010: The book now is on sale at the Rockwell Collins Company Store. Hardcover in gift slipcase is $30.99; hardcover is $21.99; softcover is $15.99.

While every new month is exciting here at puncture proof, this one is a bit more exciting than usual. In a few weeks, both hardcover and softcover editions of 75 Years of Innovation will be back from the bindery.

Why is that exciting?

Yours truly interviewed dozens of people, reviewed decades’ worth of documentation and spent many, many, many hours writing the official Rockwell Collins story of the past 25 years.

What about the previous 50 years? The new volume includes the contents of The First 50 Years, which was published in 1983.

There are some way cool images in the new book, too. More on where and when you can buy it when I get the information.

Meantime, check out this exclusive excerpt. No longer available.

Happy July.

Pedal on.

I am a former employee, I was a test tech on most all ILS equipment for more than 25 years. Would like to know who Yours truly of 75 Years of Inovation? Thanks

“Yours truly” is me, B.J. Smith.

Did you retire from RC or move on to another company?

    B.J.

    B.J.,
How can I purchase a copy of “75 Years of Innovation”? I have been unable to find the Rockwell-Collins company store on-line, and it does not show up on Amazon.com.

There isn’t a Rockwell Collins online store, but you can email vlmanley@rockwellcollins.com for ordering info.

If it’s convenient, you can go to the actual store M-F 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Collins Road and C Ave., Visitor Entrance 1, Building 105.
