Iowa cyclist’s death being investigated

Mark Anderson was killed the other day when riding his bicycle near Spencer, Iowa.

The van that struck him was driven by 21-year-old Cameron Koopman of Brewster, Minnesota.

Latest word I’ve heard is that the Clay County Sheriff’s office may file charges.

The sheriff was quoted as saying the cyclist was lawfully where he should be.

I imagine it will be hard for Koopman to explain why he didn’t go around lawfully. One life is over, some others changed forever.
