Doctor’s warning inspired bicycle club startup

At the first organizing meeting for C.R.’s Bicycle Ambassadors a couple of weeks ago, I met a member of a local bike club that has been around since 2007 but that I had only recently heard about.

Now I hear they’ve just put together some basic web pages (and plan to add a Facebook thing soon) and they welcome anyone who wants to go for a bike ride with them.

They like to ride the trails in the area and organize some trips to fun places like Lanesboro and the Root River Trail in Minnesota.

Take a look at the schedule, and the story of how Linn Area Cyclers started with a doctor’s warning.

Then get on your bikes and ride.
