Ride of Silence this Wednesday in Cedar Rapids

The Cedar Rapids Ride of Silence starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Greene Square Park.

As explained in an announcement on BikeIowa, the purpose of the Ride of Silence is to honor and pay respect to those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. It is also intended to raise awareness of cyclists’ legal right to use the roads.

The organizer of the Cedar Rapids ride, David Glandon, has more information here on his blog.

Please try to be there.

Pedal on.
