Injured Iowan asks cyclists to push for bike safety legislation

An Iowa cyclist who was injured in an accident earlier this month hopes to organize a rally at the State Capitol to show support for pending bike safety legislation. If you would like to see law enforcement officials take such incidents more seriously, get behind this and help push for passage of the law.

For more information and to contact Ken Sherman about the rally, click here.

Thursday night, I asked the Des Moines Police Department to comment on why no charges were filed against the driver who caused Sherman’s broken bones, but so far there has been no response.

Maybe the Des Moines Register will have better luck. Sherman says a reporter interviewed him about the situation today.
