Take your tea party and…

Off the bike…

Let’s hope our teachers of American history explain to their students that the polite little “tea parties” around the U.S. are lame, lifeless imitations of the Boston Tea Party they claim to emulate.

I wouldn’t suggest dressing up as Native Americans, but the Cedar Rapids “party” would have been more impressive if they’d ignored the DNR and dumped something other than river water into the river.

They call that a revolt?

For the record, I’m voting for the sales tax.

I can’t afford it, but I’m voting yes. “No” is the wrong message in too many ways.

Take your tea party and shove it.
